Projects
ELK
ELK is a performative dance piece in dialogue with raw or transformed materials. It is a dialogue between the dancer’s body and other organic bodies such as clay, wool, cork, glass, natural latex, silk, wood, stone, or plant-based fibers.
It is an exploration of energetic and performative properties, a dramaturgy built with visible and invisible matter, in order to imagine together healing, creative and meaningful spaces for existence.
CALIDOSCÓPICA
Two friends at a Catalan campsite: a safe space, like a kaleidoscope of tenderness and comfort.
Nothing is feigned in the mental kaleidoscope inhabited by Sonia Gómez and Encarni Espallargas. Amid the apparent disorder of a campsite, the meeting of two women becomes an act of companionship, care and shared joy. Through their life stories, they question the stigma surrounding certain mental states and the psychic violence they have endured. Their realities and imaginaries intertwine, sketching the idea of a life lived in a state of productive schizophrenia. They sing, dance, debate, tremble and comfort one another, building their relationship as if they were discovering each other for the first time. Every gesture feels deeply authentic and human as Sonia Gómez explores, through art, the body and performance, the unveiling of social impostures. A powerful moment of openness and humanity! — Thomas Hahn
