With Encruzilhada, Brazilian choreographer Renan Martins presents a work exploring encounter and conflict, with celebration as a space of resistance and negotiation as a shared path.

Rooted in Brazilian folk dances and movement vocabularies often marginalized by dominant cultural discourses—such as street dance, footwork, and ballroom dance—the work reveals the body as a living space for exchange, partnership, and confrontation.
Through a constantly evolving collective movement, the performers navigate moments of tension, joy, and dialogue, creating a vibrant choreographic landscape where different traditions and identities converge.
